Coloramaestro, the newest European record company was founded by star soprano Anu Komsi and conductor Sakari Oramo, currently Chief Conductor of the BBC Symphony Orchestra. The company’s products aim to be works of art in their own right by letting the music, lyrics and visual art form an integral entity where each element is presented with the highest quality and importance.

The company’s first publication, Sumun Läpi/Through the Mist, presents Kaija Saariaho’s music for soprano voice and piano performed by Anu Komsi and Paris-based pianist Pia Värri, both leading exponents of the composer’s music. Through the Mist includes a booklet with cover art by top graphic artist Ville Tietäväinen, lyrics by Pentti Saarikoski, Eino Leino, Mika Waltari, Gunnar Björling and Apollinaire as well as an introduction to the works written by the composer herself.
